experience across Florida, focusing on a hands-on, operator-led approach to real asset investment.

His expertise spans land acquisition, residential development, construction execution, and

portfolio oversight. Miguel is directly involved in sourcing, underwriting, and executing projects, working closely with local markets, contractors, and capital partners,

emphasizing disciplined project management and cost control.

Based in the Tampa Bay region, Miguel's leadership philosophy is rooted in conservative execution and alignment with long-term stakeholders, ensuring accountability,

transparency, and execution discipline for investors and partners.

Chief Operating Officer

Gil Concepcion serves as Chief Operating Officer of Coastal Equity Funding, where he leads operations, capital execution infrastructure, and investor-facing systems across the firm’s lending platform.

With over 15 years of experience operating at the intersection of real estate, private equity, and high-growth businesses, Gil specializes in building scalable operating systems that drive revenue, improve margins, and support institutional-level execution.

Prior to Coastal Equity Funding, Gil served as Chief Operating Officer for The Wealth Elevator—a real estate investment platform with over $2 billion in assets under management—where he oversaw capital raising, investor relations, and operational infrastructure across multiple investment vehicles, including the HUI Fund in Hawaii. During his tenure, he supported over $40 million in investor capital raised, implemented automation systems that significantly improved efficiency and reporting, and enhanced overall fund performance through disciplined operational execution.

At Coastal Equity Funding, Gil is responsible for ensuring disciplined execution across underwriting, capital deployment, and investor reporting, while building the operational backbone required to scale the platform efficiently.

Gil holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of South Florida and brings a systems-first approach to operational excellence.

Chief Financial Officer

Tyler Kruse serves as Chief Financial Officer of Coastal Equity Funding with over a decade of experience spanning banking, corporate finance, and investor relations, Tyler brings a deep understanding of debt markets, cash flow modeling, and risk analysis.

He has evaluated and structured more than $150 million in debt and equity transactions, with extensive expertise in IRR modeling, DSCR analysis, and pro forma underwriting.

Prior to joining Coastal Equity Funding, Tyler served as Senior Manager of Investor Relations at a national community development organization, where he was the primary financial point of contact for more than 800 investors. In this role, he led financial reporting, built scalable investor communication systems, and developed real-time reporting infrastructure to provide transparency into capital performance and project-level results.

Earlier in his career, Tyler originated and managed over $150 million in residential and construction loans, gaining hands-on experience in underwriting, credit risk analysis, and interest rate sensitivity in dynamic market conditions.

Tyler holds a B.B.A. in Managerial Finance from The University of Mississippi and is a licensed NMLS professional.

Target Returns

1) Initial Screening

Preliminary review of loan request, borrower background, property type, location, and proposed loan terms to determine alignment with fund investment criteria.

2) Due Diligence

Comprehensive analysis of borrower financial statements, property cash flows, market conditions, comparable sales, and environmental assessments.

3) Valuation Analysis

Independent third-party appraisal, internal valuation review, and stress testing of property value assumptions under adverse scenarios.

4) Documentation

Preparation and execution of loan documents, title insurance, hazard insurance, and recording of first-position lien on collateral property.

5) Ongoing Monitoring

Regular borrower reporting, property inspections, financial covenant monitoring, and proactive communication throughout loan term.
